Your Role as a Nursing Assistant
As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
* Providing age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of residents.
* Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal support.
* Documenting resident interactions and communicating any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
* Supporting residents in wellness and recreational programs.
* Maintaining cleanliness in living areas and assisting with housekeeping tasks.
Qualifications
We’re looking for passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:
* High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
* Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus.
* Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of starting.
* Completion of yearly department-specific competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits.
* For applicable states, certification with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
* Must possess a valid driver’s license if classified as a Sanford Category II Driver.
