We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support children and young people with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs within a specialist provision in Leyland.
This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them manage behaviour, build confidence, and engage positively with learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide behaviour and emotional support in and out of the classroom
Support de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies
Deliver targeted interventions and mentoring
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people with additional or behavioural needs
Calm, patient and proactive approach
Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Minimum 24 months of employment references with no significant gaps
Full-time, term-time availability
