Role: Support Worker
Location: Ty Arfryn, Johnstown (SA31)
Salary: £13.20 - £13.90 per hour
Hours: 35 hours a week, divided into 3 long shifts
About Ty Arfryn: Ty Arfryn is a 7 bed service in Carmarthen that provides specialist support for individuals with functional mental health needs and/or learning disabilities, including those with a forensic background, alcohol and substance misuse. The home is within walking distance of the town centre with public transport stops outside the home and nearby leisure and nature facilities.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
* Prompting independence and helping them live a fulfilling life.
* Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
* Maintaining and assisting with healthcare needs, including accompanying to routine appointments or administering medication.
* Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
* Assisting with personal care as required.
* Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
* Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
