North Yorkshire Council Facilities Management, also known as NYES Cleaning, provide a comprehensive, fully managed cleaning service to over 350 sites across North Yorkshire and the northeast.
Our customers include schools, who we trade with on a commercial basis, alongside internal customers, including NYC offices, libraries and depots.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our service as Assistant Assurance and Innovation Manager at an exciting time of change.
The Role
Youwill support the Assurance and Innovation Manager with a wide range of duties, including
* Support management with the onboarding of new sites into the cleaning service. Including stock ordering, employee meetings and allocation of workloads.
* Compliance activities, such as writing and updating of all service risk assessments, COSHH information and safe systems of work.
* Information gathering and reporting, supporting our ISO9001 accreditation and external audits. This includes monitoring service KPI’s and reporting progress to management.
* Supporting with managing the service’s vehicle fleet, liaising with NYC fleet management colleagues, ensuring our vehicle needs are met and we are compliant with NYC policy and legislation.
* Providing occasional operational cover in the event of long-term absence of an area manager. This will include ensuring day to day cover of sites, managing a mobile team, and dealing with customer queries
* Ensuring all corporate sites have consistency of approach across all Area Managers, by undertaking random spot checks, and providing advice and challenge to area managers with the aim of ensuring compliance and excellent standards of cleaning for all building users regardless of location.
* Supporting with the collection of information and the writing of Tenders for new business.
You will be joining a friendly, hardworking and forward-thinking team. This role provides the opportunity for an experienced manager to develop their skill set or an aspiring manager to take their first steps in a management role.
