Jenny Packham’s distinctive signature style has contributed to revolutionise the bridal industry. Launched in 1997 Jenny introduced a contemporary approach to design and styling. The eponymous label now comprises ready-to-wear, resort, bridal and accessories collections. The collections are available at the world’s most discerning stores: Harrods, Farfetch, Neiman Marcus, Net-A-Porter and Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue and etc. Production Intern Reporting to the Production Coordinator, you will be assisting the team throughout the entire production cycle from development all the way through to delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of knowledge of processes within a fashion brand, as you will also be working closely with the Sales team, Pattern Cutters and Sampling. This placement will help find and develop skills that may not have been realized while enhancing existing skill sets. The below list of duties and responsibilities are some examples of tasks you will undertake: • Assisting with quality control of motifs, fabrics and bulk garment production • Helping to prepare shipments to manufacturers (bulk fabrics/trims/labels etc.) • Sourcing of trims locally when required • Assisting with sample management • Attending and assisting with production fit meetings (depending on timing of season) • Organising dry clean testing and flammability testing • Assisting with customer returns and garment repairs • Sending order confirmations and fabric swatches to stockists/brides • Carrying out small sewing repairs and hand beading tasks when required • Assisting with studio stock management of dresses, fabrics and trims • Computer based administration, processing and data input Knowledge & skills required: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel. • Strong attention to detail. • Basic understanding of garment fit and pattern cutting (ideal but not essential). • Basic hand sewing skills (ideal but not essential). • Positive attitude and enthusiastic manner.
