Albans, HertfordshireSalary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (DOE)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentWorking Pattern: Primarily office-basedAbout the CompanyOur client is a dynamic and growing contractor based in St. Albans, specialising in M&E Design & Build, Category A & B Fit Out, and Refurbishment projects. With a strong portfolio in commercial spaces and specialist medical healthcare environments, they deliver high-quality, technically complex projects across London and the Southeast.
Typical projects are as follows;Specialist medical fit-out up to £1.5mCladding works up to £8MBuilding services/MEP-led projects up to £4mOffice refurbishments to £4mKey Responsibilities:Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.Conduct tender analysis and procurement of subcontractors.Administer contracts and manage variations, valuations, and final accounts.Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure commercial success.Provide accurate and timely cost reporting to senior management.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.Mentor and support junior QS staff as required.RequirementsDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with at least 2 years at senior level.Proven experience in M&E Design & Build, Fit Out, or Refurbishment projects.Experience working on healthcare or commercial sector projects is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).Full UK driving licence.Does this sound of interest?
