Job role: Youth Support Worker – Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Great Houghton, Northamptonshire

Salary: £26,749 - £27,747 per annum

Hourly rate: £12.40 - £12.66 per hour

Bonus: Opportunity to earn £1400 attendance bonus

Rota: 12hr shifts (8am-8pm/9am-9pm)

Week 1 - Weds, Thurs, Fri

Week 2 - Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun

Homes2Inspire are working in partnership with Northamptonshire Children's Trust, North Northamptonshire Council to create a new home in Great Houghton, Northamptonshire, that will provide a nurturing environment for a young male with a learning disability, ADHD and complex needs.

The home will plan a range of activities to provide engagement and be tailored to ensure he receives the support needed. He loves playing games with staff, spending time on his Xbox, listening to music, indoor gardening and exercising.

What you’ll bring:

1. Experience supporting vulnerable people in a workplace environment or professional capacity
2. Experience of working with behaviours that challenge
3. Education to GCSE level or equivalent
4. QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent Health & Social Care qualification or willingness to complete
5. Availability to work on a shift rota system including weekends and bank holidays
6. A full UK Driving Licence

Youth Support Workers will work closely with young people and provide assistance and support while attending to practical, physical and emotional needs. Youth support workers contribute to the safeguarding, health, wellbeing and general development of young people, and deliver clear verbal and non-verbal communication using a variety of methods of communication relevant to individual young people.
