Job Summary
Community Inpatient Unit provides Rehabilitation, Re-ablement and recovery interventions for adults in North East Lincolnshire. The service will promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary acute hospital admissions and premature admissions to long‑term care, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living wherever possible. Multi‑professional staff will collaborate with individuals to ensure they achieve their full potential in terms of their level of independence, health, and wellbeing.

Job Responsibilities
The post holder will perform advanced therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes.
The post holder will be responsible for managing own caseload and a defined area of service, working without direct supervision.
You will supervise, educate and assess students, assistants and junior staff and provide specialised advice/training to other health care professionals in the specific clinical area.
The post holder will undertake evidence‑based audit and research projects to further own and teams clinical practice. Make recommendations to clinical leads/manager of service changes to practice. May lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to the development of service protocols.

Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with State Registration
* Post‑graduate training across a range of specialised clinical areas
* Relevant accredited courses (Desirable)
Experience
* Broad range of specialist rotations
* Demonstrated sound clinical reasoning skills
* Able to manage own caseload
* Evidence of supervising staff
* Experience of team working
* Presentations to wider audiences (Desirable)
