Overview
Vacancy at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. 12 Month Fixed‑Term Contract. This role is within the Cambridge Rehabilitation Unit – Inpatient rehabilitation (pathway two) where you will work in a multidisciplinary team to rehabilitate patients in an inpatient setting. The unit is based at Davidson House, Brookfields Hospital Campus and you will work closely with colleagues in other localities and across the system that provide Intermediate Care for the population of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and occupational therapy interventions to patients admitted for rehabilitation from acute hospitals and from the community.
* Implement therapy plans and delegate to therapy assistants and integrated care workers.
* Develop skills in sub‑acute rehabilitation and discharge planning, working with ward‑based MDT and colleagues from other pathways, social care and the voluntary sector.
* Work autonomously across a variety of settings, including community access visits and traveling where needed.
Qualifications
* UK HCPC registration required.
* Driving licence desirable but not essential.
* Professional and legally responsible for all aspects of own work, including management of patients in your care.
* Accumulate clinical responsibility and professional autonomy for a designated caseload of patients, from referral to discharge.
* Plan and carry out assessments in a variety of settings.
* Appropriate delegation of tasks to therapy assistants.
