Overview
Are you an experienced Graphics Mac Operator looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced production environment? We are hiring for a well-established manufacturer in the label and FMCG sector, offering a permanent role with great benefits and long-term stability in Castleford.
Responsibilities
* Download files from emails/FTP and logging them onto MIS systems
* Create and process artwork using Adobe Creative Suite and industry software
* Generate PDFs for customer approval
* Populate Esko Automation Engine and Cloudflow folders
* Order and release tooling as required
* Record job history and processes within Filemaker
* Manage production priorities and studio workflow
* Support colour management across digital and hybrid print
* Liaise with production, technical, and wider teams
* Resolve pre-press or press-related issues
* Attend pre-production meetings and calls
* Contribute to continuous improvement, R&D, and graphics process development
Candidate requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a fast-moving label printing or FMCG environment
* Strong IT literacy with full proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
* Working knowledge of Esko Automation Engine, Esko DFE & Colour Pilot, Filemaker, and ideally Hybrid Solutions such as Packz and Cloudflow
* A comprehensive understanding of combination print reprographics and processes, including gravure, offset, flexo, screen, emboss, foiling, digital, and hybrid print
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels, including customers and suppliers
* Experience working in a fast-paced reprographics production studio environment
* Flexibility to support the team across conventional, digital, and hybrid areas during busy periods or for holiday cover
