The Role
:
As a Bookkeeper, you will assist in managing external client projects within outsourced accounting services, covering tasks such as bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, payment processing, and financial forecasting.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare management accounts from client records.
2. Post entries and reconcile accounts for management reporting.
3. Maintain clients' cashbooks using various software systems.
4. Conduct bookkeeping at client sites.
5. Assist in VAT return preparation and analysis.
6. Review bookkeeping and VAT tasks performed by team members.
7. Communicate effectively with clients to resolve queries.
Requirements:
8. Previously worked as an Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
9. Possesses relevant industry experience.
10. Understanding of HMRC MTD for VAT.
11. Skilled in cloud-based book-keeping software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBook.
12. IT literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
