New Directions Education are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting in September, with the potential for the role to become permanent. The successful candidate will play a key part in inspiring young people to engage with the world around them through a rich and diverse Geography curriculum.

The Role:
4. Full-time Geography Teacher position, responsible for planning and delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
5. Support students in developing a deep understanding of physical and human geography, map skills, and environmental issues.
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to assess pupil progress, contribute to curriculum development, and support wider school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Hold Qualified Teacher Status and be completing or have recently completed an Initial Teacher Training programme.
8. Have recent experience teaching or undertaking placements in a secondary school, ideally within a Geography or wider Humanities department.
9. Be able to provide a recent reference from a school-based placement or teaching role within the last five years.
10. Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
