 
        Desian Education is proud to be working in partnership with a primary school based in Birkenhead who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with medical needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a nurturing and reliable individual to make a genuine difference in a child’s school life by offering both educational and personal support, including aspects of medical care where appropriate (training to be provided). This is a full-time role supporting 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with identified medical and learning needs * Assist with the implementation of individual education and care plan (EHCP) * Support the pupil's learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development * Liaise closely with class teachers, SENDCo, and medical professionals * Monitor progress and help ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment * Carry out basic medical or care tasks in line with training and school policies Requirements * Previous experience supporting children with SEND or medical needs (preferred) * A calm, patient, and caring nature * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Willingness to undertake relevant training * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Desian Education) What We Offer * A supportive and inclusive school environment * Ongoing support and guidance from the Desian Education team * Opportunities for professional development and further training * Competitive daily pay This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about supporting individual learning journeys and making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
