Job Role: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: HMP Bure - Jaguar Drive, Badersfield, Norwich, Norfolk, NR10 5GB
Salary: £45,303.07 with 5% shift allowance
Contract: Full time / Permanent

HMP Bure operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to ensure its smooth functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your role is vital in maintaining safe and efficient operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the wider community.
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to making a positive difference by providing a secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical, time-sensitive services to HMPPS and are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor with:
1. At least five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
2. Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
3. Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water, or building services systems
4. Experience supervising staff
5. Plumber qualification to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, and NVQ level 3 or equivalent
6. Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
7. Relevant professional qualifications (facilities or project management) (desirable)
8. Good Health & Safety knowledge
9. Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills
