Base pay range

Salary: £13.25 per hour + overtime. Weekly pay.

Hours: 45 hours per week, including weekends

The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is a fine dining restaurant and boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. Our menus are created in close partnership with Daylesford Farm, using the best seasonal, organic produce. About The Role

As a General Assistant, you will play a vital role in keeping our rooms and cottages immaculate, ensuring they are cleaned to the highest standard and ready for guest arrivals. You will also support the upkeep of our public areas, including the Terrace, car parks, driveways, and outdoor spaces, making sure they remain tidy, welcoming, and free from debris. From preparing cushions and parasols for guests on sunny days to restocking fireplaces and wood supplies in colder months, your work will help create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere throughout the year.


Your Responsibilities

* Ensuring rooms are cleaned to the highest standard.
* Maintaining public areas, including the Terrace, and reporting any damages or issues with lighting, pathways, furniture, cushions, or parasols.
* Keeping car parks, driveways, and outside areas tidy and free from debris.
* Managing external bins and ensuring they are put out for collection on designated days.
* Preparing outdoor areas with cushions and parasols for guests, weather permitting.
* Assisting with general tidiness of internal pub areas.
* Removing linen and towels from rooms/cottages after guest departure and delivering fresh packs before arrivals.
* Delivering and collecting laundry and consumable supplies from local suppliers.
* Clearing and restocking fireplaces and wood supplies.
* Performing cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
* Ensuring stock cupboards are fully stocked with amenities and consumables.
* Replacing external and internal lightbulbs as required.
* Completing changeover days efficiently.
* Protecting equipment and reporting any inadequacies.
* Notifying your Manager of damages or issues across the property.
* Assisting colleagues with flexibility, supporting other departments when required.
* Using company vehicles responsibly across the estate, including public roads.
* Responsible for maintaining company vehicles on a daily basis, including cleaning, refuelling and safety checks.
