Milk Education are proud to be partnering with a SEND School in Teesside, supporting learners of all ages, who are looking to appoint a Graduate Learning Support Assistant on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The Role – Graduate Learning Support Assistant (SEND)
In this role, you will provide dedicated support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, PMLD and moderate learning difficulties. The school caters for students from early years through to post-16, offering a diverse and rewarding working environment.
You will play a key part in helping pupils access their education, develop life skills and build confidence in a safe, inclusive setting.
This opportunity is particularly well-suited to graduates considering careers in education, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, counselling, social work or youth support services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
2. Assisting teachers in adapting lessons to ensure accessibility for all learners
3. Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional well-being
4. Supporting communication, sensory and social development
5. Promoting independence and life skills development
6. Providing personal care support where necessary
7. Working collaboratively with teaching staff and multidisciplinary teams

Key Criteria:
20. A degree in the last 3 years (2:2 classification or above)
21. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
22. A calm, patient and proactive approach
23. Interest in SEND and inclusive education
24. Ability to provide two professional references from the last two years
25. Willingness to complete relevant compliance and CPD training
