An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse within the Barking and Dagenham Early Intervention in Psychosis Team (HEIP). We are a dynamic and welcoming multidisciplinary team working with individuals aged 14-65 experiencing a first episode psychosis. The team includes nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, an occupational therapist, and support workers.
The successful candidate should be an occupational therapist, social worker, or Registered Mental Health Nurse with unrestricted live NMC registration. Good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and an understanding of mental health issues with experience in dealing with emotional distress are essential.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of care, including liaising with multidisciplinary teams and other agencies, and engaging service users and relatives with empathy and compassion. You will manage a caseload of service users under CPA.

Key Responsibilities:
* Case management, including assessment, interventions, and support
* Managing allocated caseloads
* Medication management and administration (oral and intramuscular)
* Participating in clinics
* Liaising with other professionals and attending ward rounds and meetings
Training and Induction:
All new starters will join NELFT on the first Monday of each month, undergoing a comprehensive induction lasting up to two weeks, including mandatory and systems training, equipment allocation, and opportunities to meet the executive team and attend engagement sessions. Induction takes place at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
