Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of Nail Technicians? We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Nail Technology to join our Hair & Beauty team. This is an exciting opportunity to share your industry expertise, shape learners’ futures, and contribute to a thriving curriculum area within a supportive and innovative college environment.
In this role, you’ll deliver high‑quality teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 Nail Technology programmes, act as a course tutor, and support students pastorally and academically. You’ll play a key part in ensuring learners achieve their full potential and progress into successful careers.
Essential Criteria
1. A Level 3 qualification in a Nail‑related discipline (or equivalent).
2. A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
3. Strong subject knowledge with excellent understanding of curriculum and qualification frameworks.
4. Experience of embedding English and maths within lessons.
5. Effective behaviour management and ability to motivate, support and engage students.
Key Responsibilities
6. Deliver high‑quality and inclusive teaching on Level 2 and Level 3 Nail Technology courses.
7. Act as a course tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to a caseload of students.
8. Use innovative and creative teaching strategies, including digital learning technologies.
9. Monitor and record student progress, attendance and achievement, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
10. Maintain up‑to‑date teaching materials, including schemes of work and lesson plans.
11. Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and British Values in all aspects of teaching and learning.
12. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and course improvement.
13. Participate in recruitment activities such as open days and promotional events.
14. Engage with professional development to maintain and enhance your specialist skills.
