Risk Officer - this is a 50/50 split of Work from home and in-office. Our client, based in Bristol at Emersons Green near the junction of the M4 and M32 (commutable from Bristol, Bath, Chippenham), are experts in the compliance industry, mainly focusing on the Motor Trade and Travel sectors. They have one of the UK's largest regulatory networks with many retail sites across the UK, offering a range of Finance and Insurance services.
By providing Appointed Representative status, they handle compliance (being Directly Authorized by the FCA), allowing their customers to focus on their daily business activities.
Critical Competencies
* 2 years experience in Risk or Compliance roles.
* Adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
* Completion of the company's Compliance Training program.
* Strong investigative and analytical skills.
* Ability to review and judge compliance of communications against criteria.
* Good organizational skills and proactive workload management.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in retail insurance environments.
* Experience working with finance providers.
* Understanding of risk-related roles.
* Knowledge of the Motor and Travel sectors.
* Familiarity with the FCA Handbook and requirements (DISP, PRIN, SYSC, ICOBS, SUP, CONC).
* Proficiency in computer skills.
* Teamwork ability.
