Main duties of the job
* Responsible for completing the radio tasks assigned to the patient catering team from soft facilities helpdesk, in a timely manner.
* Delivers out of hours meals and other requested food items to wards and clinical areas as per the allocated radio task following set procedures and specifications.
* Responsible for cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards within the out of hours kitchens, ensuring compliance with Food Safety Legislation.
* Supports patient catering service by delivering meals to any clinical areas not covered by a full‑time ward catering assistant.
* Ensures that high quality food hygiene and cleaning standards are always maintained.

Education
* Good level of education
Qualifications
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
Experience
* Previous catering experience
* Knowledge of food handling/HACCP and cleaning procedures
* Previous NHS experience
