Do you want to make a genuinely positive impact on Children and Young People with SEND in East Sussex? If you do, then you may be ideally suited to the role of Deputy Service Manager for the Interim Provision Service (IPS).
The Education Division's Interim Provision Service (IPS) is an interim teaching service for children and young people (CYP) who hold an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP); are not on roll of a school or college and are awaiting their next educational placement.
You would be responsible for coordinating the interim educational provision of children and young people with EHCPs (ages 5 to 25 years) who are out of school or college awaiting their next educational placement. The role includes managing a team of specialist SEND teachers, who work across East Sussex, providing creative and bespoke educational packages.
This role is initially offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis for a period of 12 months, after which it will be reviewed.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have substantial management experience.
- Have proven knowledge and experience in the field of SEND.
- Have a calm and personable disposition.
- Have the ability to problem-solve under pressure.
- Have Qualified teacher status (QTS)
