Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with the ability to operate press brake machinery effectively. This role requires precision and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for bending and shaping sheet metal components according to specifications.
Duties
* Operate press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal parts as per engineering drawings and specifications.
* Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively for the assembly of components.
* Perform grinding and welding tasks as required during the fabrication process.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Apply basic mathematical skills to measure, calculate, and verify dimensions of materials before processing.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication, particularly with sheet metal processes.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Familiarity with hand tools and tooling used in metalworking.
* Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
* Experience in assembly processes is advantageous.
* A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
