What is the role about?
Employment Advisers are the frontline of Reed in Partnership. The main purpose of the role is to support unemployed jobseekers (our participants) with finding and maintaining employment, engage with employers, and raise awareness of our services within local communities. Our participants are central to our mission, and providing them with excellent service is core to the Employment Adviser role.
Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Meeting with jobseekers, identifying challenges and barriers to employment
* Booking jobseekers into relevant training courses such as customer service, security, hospitality, personal development, IT literacy, and others
* Supporting jobseekers with CV writing and job applications
* Liaising with employers to identify employment opportunities
* Outreach work – promoting Reed in Partnership within the local community
Key to success in this role is the ability to build rapport, demonstrate empathy, motivate individuals, and positively influence perceptions of work.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Coaching/mentoring experience and persuasion/influencing skills from work or social activities
* Experience in a customer-facing environment (e.g., Customer Service, Hospitality, Social Care, Sales)
* Experience working in a performance target-driven environment
* Willingness to travel locally to meet clients and employers
* A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma, and GCSE English Language at Grade B or higher (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). Alternatively, achievement of a Level 2 Literacy Assessment at interview or international equivalents.
* Fluency in more than one language
