Recent cyber-attacks across the UK education sector have made one thing impossible to ignore: protecting schools is no longer a background concern; it's urgent, it's personal, and it matters deeply.
This is a newly created role, built from a genuine recognition that the people who look after our most vulnerable young people deserve someone equally committed to looking after them.

You'll take full ownership of cybersecurity across a group of specialists' schools, not as a checkbox exercise, but as a real act of care. The data, safety, and trust of children, families, and educators will be in your hands.
This is a hands-on leadership role with:

What you'll be doing
* 🔒 Owning cyber security end-to-end across a multi-site school environment
* 🚨 Leading incident response and cyber risk management
* ✅ Driving Cyber Essentials compliance and NCSC best practice
* ☁️ Overseeing Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace security posture
* 🤝 Managing MSPs and third-party vendor risk
* 📢 Embedding genuine cyber awareness across non-technical teams
* 📊 Reporting clearly and confidently to senior leadership and the board
What we're looking for

Experience & skills:
* 4–6 years in IT and/or Cyber Security
* Strong Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace security knowledge
* Hands-on experience managing MSPs and third-party vendors
* Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, NCSC, or ISO frameworks
