MJK Manufacturing Ltd. is a SME steel fabrication company specialising in fencing and barriers for the construction industry. We are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to assist in the day-to-day administration and coordination of the company tasks, projects and processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to be part of a rapidly growing business

Job Purpose

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Fabrication Manager with coordinating the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, focusing on welding and steel products. This role ensures process efficiency, upholds quality standards, and contributes to continuous improvement. Working closely with production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain teams, the Coordinator helps meet operational targets and customer needs, while also providing sales administration support.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities

The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Fabrication Manager in day-to-day administration tasks.

· Managing the Bill of Materials

* Review and update all prices as per drawings.
* Enter new products as and when designed on to Bom and provide Sales price
* Enter products and BOM materials onto sage

· Stock Takes – Ensuring all is correct as per sage 50 accounts.

· Raise Purchase Orders on Sage 50, when goods and services need replenishing.

· Organise all transport to and from MJK Depot to customers.

· Support the Fabrication Manager in identifying areas for process improvement and assist in implementing process changes.

· Receipt deliveries as and when received on Sage 50 accounts, scanning in paperwork.

· Support with continuous improvement projects.

· Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and documentation.

· Analyse production data and generate performance metrics.

· Provide regular updates to the Fabrication Manager.

· Assist in organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment

· Communicate and liaise with departmental managers including finance, marketing and sales staff.

· Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions

· Working closely with fabrication staff to support the needs of the business

· Answer inbound calls

· Sales administration (i.e. processing orders)

Role Demands

The role requires working from the MJK Manufacturing warehouse and adhering to Health and Safety and PPE requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Level of Knowledge & Experience

Essential

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Experience in Administration and Operations Coordination

Advantageous

· Experience in Sage 50

· Experience in a manufacturing environment

· Proficient experience in managing Bill of Materials

· Relevant qualification

* Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration
* Level 3 Diploma in Operational Delivery

Skills

· Ability to analyse situations and make decisions accordingly

· Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

· Excellent communication skills in order to influence the actions of others

· Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making

· Commercial and financial acumen

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £27,300.00 per year
