A personal assistant is required to support a happy and lively 7‑year‑old boy living in Launceston.
He has Autism level 3, Epilepsy and Global Development Delay and would like someone who can build a positive relationship with him and provide 1:1 support.
Responsibilities
* Support communication skills and assist with everyday tasks.
* Encourage participation in outdoor activities such as walks, park play, swimming, and soft‑play sessions.
* Enable the child to enjoy activities in the local community and with his family.
Qualifications
* Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential.
* A full driving licence is desirable.
* Enhanced DBS check required; administration handled by Cornwall Council.
Compensation and Availability
* Pay: £12.60 per hour.
* Up to 3 hours per week, flexible schedule; weekend and school holiday availability may be required.

* This is a private arrangement with the family; the assistant will not be employed by or work for Cornwall Council.
