Haywood Village is looking for a Family Support Worker who will provide high quality, impartial, solutions-focused pastoral support and guidance to children and their families. They will enable children to achieve their full potential, raise aspirations, and facilitate academic progress. The role involves working in partnership with parents to strengthen parental capacity, promote understanding of their child’s needs, improve family relationships, and increase parental engagement. Additionally, the role includes collaborating with other team members to support improving attendance at school.
About you:
* Have an understanding of issues affecting young people and their families, especially in disadvantaged communities.
* Knowledge or experience of the common/single assessment framework procedure.
* Educated to AS/A level or equivalent qualifications or experience.
* Full clean driving license – willing to travel for home visits or to other sites.
* Proven experience working with young people and their families in education or related areas.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire young people and their families.
