Payroll Assistant
* Annual Salary: £35,000 to £37,000 full time equivalent
* Location: Royston

Join a highly respected accountancy practice as a Payroll Administrator. This part-time role is perfect for individuals with a strong background in payroll operations and client management.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Process client payrolls and BACS payments efficiently.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, resolving queries and liaising on payroll and employment matters.
* Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and conduct regular compliance checks.
* Manage payroll elements such as starters, leavers, holiday pay, and pension deductions.
* Liaise with HMRC for tax calculations, NIC contributions, and other necessary communications.
* Handle auto enrolment, maintain pension scheme records, and manage RTI submissions and CIS returns.
* Maintain accurate and concise records and ensure timely recording on timesheets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing within an accountancy practice.
* Proficiency in Sage Payroll and Xero Payroll.
* CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Strong mathematical and IT skills, including intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy for data entry.
* Ability to handle multiple deadlines, work independently, and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
