An Embedded Software Team lead is now needed to lead a team of Embedded Firmware Engineer for my client who are leading the way within their industry sector within the automotive industry. As the Embedded Software Team Lead you will be responsible for a team of 10 Engineers who are programming in C++ using Embedded Linux so previous experience and an understanding of these technologies are needed to be able to manage guide and mentor engineers. Your role will be ensuring the quality of the projects as well as working with internal and external stakeholders to gather the requirements and for the firmware development.

Core skills/experience include
* Previous or current background in Embedded Software
* C++ Programming
* Linux
* Low level/Bare Metal
* Experience of leasing with Electronics and Mechanical teams.
* Team Leading
* Mentoring/Guiding engineers
* Ability or prior experience of customer facing
* Leasing with internal and external stakeholders
* Maintaining overarching architectural responsibility for the developed firmware
* Appraisals, reviews of the team
* Developing and revising statements of work with accurate cost and time estimates.
* Ensuring all new products are sufficiently documented by producing and maintaining detailed release notes.
* Providing technical support for firmware-related field issues, including ensuring customer and quality concerns are proactively monitored and any required engineering changes are executed in a timely manner
