We are seeking a highly motivated Events Manager to join our Marketing Operations team. The role involves planning the EMEAI event strategy aligned with global campaigns and sales goals, and managing our event schedule across the region. The position includes travel within EMEAI and requires 1 day/week onsite in Oxford.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy aligned with Oxford Nanopore’s goals.
2. Plan and execute the annual EMEAI event schedule, setting objectives and targets.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to define budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to meet business objectives.
4. Manage multiple projects by setting priorities and timelines.
5. Negotiate contracts and coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.
6. Promote events through external communications and internal updates.
7. Oversee event setup and onsite presence at events.
8. Analyze event data to measure ROI and inform improvements.
9. Continuously refine event processes based on feedback.
10. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
* At least 5 years of experience in event management.
* Proven track record in logistics coordination and stakeholder management.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in brand management and design.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Life Sciences, Business, or Marketing, with sector knowledge.
* Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and adapt quickly.
