Daily Rate: £80 – £90 per day
About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). You may be providing 1:1 support, working with small groups, or offering general classroom assistance – all with the shared goal of helping every child reach their full potential.
These roles are suited to individuals who are patient, proactive, and genuinely committed to inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs
*
Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions
*
Supporting children’s emotional well-being and promoting positive behaviour
*
Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
*
Adapting classroom materials to suit individual learning needs
*
Encouraging social interaction and independence
*
Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or similar setting)
*
Be calm, empathetic, and passionate about inclusive education
*
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
*
Be adaptable and confident in responding to different needs and behaviours
*
Be reliable, punctual, and committed to safeguarding children
*
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent – desirable but not essential)
