Logistics People are recruiting SIA Licenced Security Officers on behalf of Logistics Security to join our team.
Location: WR9, TF2, TF9 and SY5
Shift Pattern: Shifts may vary but are primarily 12 hours 06:00 - 18:00, 07:00 - 19:00, 18:00 - 06:00 and 19:00 - 07:00
Pay Rate: A£12.71 - A£14.71 P/hr (depending on site)

As a leading agency in the security industry, Logistics Security specialises in sourcing and deploying security personnel and solutions nationwide. Working with over 200 extensively trained Security Personnel during peak periods, we focus on developing and implementing comprehensive security supply chain strategies. Our operations involve delivering security resolutions to major Logistics providers across an extensive depot network, spread over 50 sites in the UK, ensuring their operation is running smoothly 24/7.
Job Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Support Officer to join our team, working within our Warehouse and Distribution depots, supporting our existing clients. You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting multiple busy sites that operate 365 days a year.
2. Be computer literate with a good telephone manner and a positive customer service approach.
3. Support with the cover of absences primarily across 4 sites, post Codes WR9, TF2, TF9 and SY5.
4. Have a full driving license and your own vehicle; travel expenses will be reimbursed monthly.
5. Work a 42-hour week (typically 3-4 x 12 hour shifts across a 7-day week including weekends).
6. Be flexible and work a mixture of shifts, including days and nights.
7. Complete relevant company and client paperwork.
Key Duties:
1. Supporting with site visits.
2. Access and Egress Control.
3. Reception Duties - Signing in Visitors/Contractors and answering the phone.
4. Monitoring CCTV.
5. Accepting Deliveries.
6. Weighbridge Operation.
7. Key Control.
8. Pool Car Bookings.
Our Ideal Candidate:
1. Previous experience in the security industry (1 year).
2. Good level of verbal and written English.
3. PC Literate, able to use Office365 to complete Excel documents and respond to emails.
4. SIA Licence (SG/DS) required.
5. UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle required.
6. First aid certification preferred.
7. Be flexible and able to work a mixture of shifts, some at short notice.
8. Be physically fit and patrol effectively by foot.
9. Deliver excellent customer service.
10. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
11. High standards of both punctuality and attendance to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
