To help us continue this vision, we are seeking a caring, energetic and proactive Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team as a Playteam member. You will play a key role in shaping our children’s play experiences. As well as creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where pupils can explore, collaborate, take risks and thrive outdoors.
We require a Lunchtime Supervisor, to be appointed as soon as possible, who is able to work Monday to Friday, during the term for 1.5 hours per day 11.45 – 13.15
We are looking for someone who:
* is passionate about providing the best experiences for children – a good practitioner who has high expectations of themselves and pupils
* is a happy smiley person who is looking for an exciting opportunity to join a successful team
* can work in partnership with staff enhancing the culture of teamwork
* has previous experience as a Lunchtime Supervisor or role similar within school eg Teaching Assistant
* is able to promote play activities with childrenand has good organisational skills
* can be a role model for children and adults by treating them with respect & acting fairly, implementing the school’s Behaviour Policy
* can assist children in the dinner hall to choose and eat a healthy lunch, encouraging the use of good manners and social skills
* is prepared to administer simple First Aid and deal with children who are sick or distressed
* is able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents is able to hand over to staff as necessary
* has good computer skills and is able to log concerns accurately
* confident in speaking with pupils, parents and staff in regards to behaviour
Your responsibilities include:
* Supporting and championing the school’s OPAL play vision every day.
* Encouraging positive, imaginative and inclusive play across all age groups.
* Supervising children during lunchtime, both indoors and outdoors.
* Helping to set up, manage and tidy away play resources and zones.
* Promoting independence, problem‑solving and social skills through play.
* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils while allowing for healthy risk‑taking.
* Modelling positive behaviour.
* Working collaboratively with the wider staff team to continually improve play provision.

GRADE:Grade B, SCP 4, £25,185, Actual Salary - £4,457-£4,516 p.a.
