Assistant Manager - Housing Appegio Housing Association Birmingham (Fully On-Site | Multi-Office) £35,000 per annum Driving licence required About the Role Appegio Housing Association is looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day delivery of housing services across multiple sites in Birmingham. This is a fully on-site role, ideal for someone who enjoys being visible, hands-on, and closely involved in operational housing management. You'll work as part of a strong and supportive management team, helping to ensure high standards of compliance, service delivery, and resident support. Key Responsibilities Support the management of housing and supported housing services Ensure compliance with housing regulations, policies, and procedures Oversee and maintain accurate paperwork, documentation, and records Contribute to policy and procedure writing and reviews Support staff supervision, performance, and day-to-day operations Manage and support matters relating to Housing Benefits and rent Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and local authorities Travel between offices as required across Birmingham About You You will ideally have: Proven experience within housing or supported housing Strong knowledge of Housing Benefits, including Exempt Supported Housing Confidence with compliance, paperwork, and policy writing Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or assistant management role A practical, organised, and detail-focused approach Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A full UK driving licence and access to a car Ability to work effectively within a collaborative management team
