About the Role
As the Lead for the DXA service, you will:
* Be the clinical lead for DXA scanning and reporting, ensuring high standards of patient care and technical accuracy.
* Manage the day‑to‑day operation of the DXA service, including scheduling, quality assurance and liaison with clinical teams.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on osteoporosis assessment and DXA protocols.
* Support education and training initiatives, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to professional development programmes.
* Participate in service development, audits and implementation of national guidelines (e.g. NOGG, NICE, IRMER 2017).
What We’re Looking For
* HCPC‑registered Radiographer or equivalent registered professional with substantial experience in DXA scanning and reporting.
* Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Commitment to patient‑centred care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
* Willingness to undertake further training if required (e.g. Radiation Protection Supervisor, ISCD certification).
