We are currently recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Local Land & Property Information Officer/Lead, to join our clients team, based in York.
You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and accessibility of property data that supports various operations across their organisation.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for maintaining and managing the Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG), which links to the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and to continue promoting its use within the clients organisation, as the corporate resource for all property addressing needs.
Ensuring that local and national data entry conventions and standards are fully adhered to in the LLPG maintenance process.
To monitor and analyse the LLPG data for quality assurance, in particular the measures and administration systems to validate its correctness.
Resolve discrepancies, conflicting issues, de-duplicate records, and maintain cross-references with other data sources such as Council Tax, the Electoral Roll, the Local Street Gazetteer (LSG), and Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR).
About you
You possess an inquisitive mind and enjoy problem-solving. You are detail-oriented and capable of completing repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Having a good understanding of case management systems (CMS) or software is essential, ideally IDOX Uniform Gazetteer Management System, and any experience and working knowledge of British Standards (BS) 7666 and GIS tools would be advantageous, however training will be given, if required.
Understand (or have the ability to quickly develop understanding) of LSG/LLPG functions, standards and the statutory contexts they support (e.g., planning etc)
This full time role is initially for a minimum of 3.5 months, with the potential of going from temp to perm. It is weekly pay and the hourly rate is commensurate with current market rates and an individual’s experience. Initially this will be office based, in the centre of York.
