Service Advisor – Independent Garage

2. Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience)
3. Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week – no weekends
About the Service Advisor Role:
We are recruiting a Service Advisor to join a busy, well-established independent garage in Chester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid service advisor experience, offering Monday to Friday only working hours and a highly competitive, negotiable salary.
You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, bookings, and administration, while supporting the smooth operation of the service department.
Key Responsibilities for this Service Advisor role:
4. Handling customer enquiries, bookings, and updates in a professional manner.
5. Using XL and other motor trade management systems.
6. Producing invoices, job cards, and service documentation.
7. Supporting the garage with admin and basic marketing tasks.
8. Liaising with technicians to ensure jobs are progressed efficiently.
9. Delivering excellent customer service at every stage.
Requirements for this Service Advisor position:
10. Proven experience as a Service Advisor within the motor trade.
11. Confident with IT and management systems (XL experience preferred).
12. Strong admin and organisational skills.
13. Good communication and customer service skills.
14. Marketing knowledge or willingness to get involved with promotional activity.
15. Consideration will also be given to technicians looking to move off the tools into a customer-facing position.
