Technical Operations Manager
Location: Poling
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Operations Manager to join a specialist organisation within the confined space and rescue sector. This is a key leadership role, forming part of the senior management team and playing a critical part in driving safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the business.
The Role
As Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading all rescue operations and ensuring best-in-class technical and safety standards are implemented across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and overseeing all rescue activities across the business
* Developing high-quality risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and emergency rescue plans
* Ensuring all staff are fully trained, competent, and hold the required certifications
* Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with safety procedures and identifying areas for improvement
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records
* Supporting business growth through active involvement in business development opportunities
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
You will also play a key role in shaping future operational strategy, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the business remains compliant with industry regulations and standards.
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)
* Proven leadership and management experience
* Strong experience within Health & Safety and safe systems of work
* Experience producing RAMS and managing risk in operational environments
* A full UK driving licence
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable
* Confined space experience (training will be provided if required)
