We are looking for a Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) to join our team at Cygnet Kewstoke. Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke provides emergency admissions services for men and women, and a pathway for women to rehabilitation including a specialist service for personality disorder. Your day-to-day… You’ll be working 37.5 hours per week with on call duties. Salary - £61,590 per annum • Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward • Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors • Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff • Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based • Advise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness • Ensure patients’ rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to. You are… • Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision • Familiar with an in-patient setting • Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing o thers • Open, compassionate, honest & resilient • Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans • Well-informed of the Mental Health Act & the latest nursing practices • Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk.
