Job Description Senior Accountant / Client Manager – Accountancy Practice Sheffield | Full-time | £42,000 – £52,000 DOE Are you an experienced Accountant looking to take the next step in your Practice career? We’re supporting a leading Accountancy firm in Sheffield as they expand their team with the addition of a Senior Accountant / Client Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded firm with an excellent client base, great internal culture, and clear progression routes. About the Role: You’ll take ownership of your own portfolio of SME clients across a variety of industries, managing the delivery of high-quality accounting services and acting as a key advisor to your clients. You'll also play an active role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact Prepare and review year-end accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105 Oversee VAT returns, corporation tax computations and submissions Provide proactive advice to clients on financial and business matters Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff Build strong client relationships through regular communication and meetings Liaise with HMRC, banks, and other third parties as required What We’re Looking For: Proven experience managing a portfolio in an Accountancy Practice ACA/ACCA qualified (or QBE with significant experience) Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills Comfortable mentoring and developing junior staff Able to work from the Sheffield office during probation (with up to 2 days WFH once established) What’s on Offer: Salary: £42,000 – £52,000, depending on experience Genuine career progression within a supportive firm that promotes from within A modern, collaborative working environment Flexible working options (office-based during probation, then up to 2 days WFH) Exposure to a wide and varied client base – no two days are the same!
