Starting from £25,100, rising to £25,733. Please note, the annual salary quoted includes a supplement to align with our commitment as a voluntary living wage employer. Additionally, this role attracts a £1,500 market supplement.

Role Overview
The Department of Campus Infrastructure seeks to appoint a Painter / Decorator to join the team. You will assist with painting and decorating the university's residential buildings, hospitality, and catering outlets on campus and in the city. The role may also involve other maintenance activities such as minor repairs and building fabric maintenance.
We Would Like To Hear From You If You
* Have an Apprenticeship in Painting & Decorator or similar, such as a City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Decorating Occupations or equivalent
* Possess practical DIY skills and vocational training and experience for routine repairs
* Are familiar with, and comfortable working in, built environments, able to identify and address maintenance tasks, and keep relevant parties informed
* Have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to undertake further training
* Are committed, able to work independently and as part of a team
Further Information
This is a full-time (36.5 hours/week), permanent position. Working hours are between 08:00 and 18:00, with flexibility based on operational needs, Monday to Friday. For an informal discussion, contact Darren Chitty, Building Engineering Manager.
