The Scottish Public Pensions Agency is an Agency of the Scottish Government. Our principal role is to administer the pensions for employees in the National Health Service, Teachers’, Police and Fire-fighters’ pension schemes in Scotland. The Agency administers these public service pension schemes on behalf of Scottish Ministers to over 640,000 members with annual payments of over £3.7 billion, together with the related agency administration expenditure of c. £31 million.
The role sits within the Corporate Governance Team and is responsible for the development and deliverables of the Corporate Governance arrangements for SPPA. The team supports overall corporate governance which includes the operation of the Management Advisory Board, Audit and Risk Committee and the Pension Boards.
The post holder will work as part of a small team, supporting SPPA board structures and governance. The post holder will work closely with the Corporate Delivery Leads to support the maintenance of governance activities and ensure that SPPA follows required regulations and delivers the expectations of The Pension Regulator, The Pension Ombudsman, Scottish Government and Audit Scotland. The post holder will also have an key role in processing and monitoring Freedom of Information requests to the SPPA.

* Provide efficient and proactive support to a wide range of external stakeholders
* Overseeing Freedom of Information requests to the Agency, leading on coordination of records management

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by panel. Shortlisted candidates who are considered to have the skills and experience will be invited to interview with the hiring manager and another panel member. The panel will recommend the candidate considered most suitable for the post.
Interviews are expected to be scheduled for w/c 13th or 20th April 2026.
