Are you passionate about trucks and trailers? Do you have a knack for diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults? To carry out MOT preparation on Group assets. To ensure that all inspection/service/defect paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. To ensure that high quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner. Keep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintained. To keep up to date with developments within the industry and understand changes that may impact the effective operation of the workshop. Undertake manufacturer training courses as required and ensure. To account for your own time, be efficient and proactive when working within the workshop. Qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent, or proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar vehicle maintenance role. Full UK Driving Licence. A proven background in commercial vehicle repairs. Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness standards. C or C&E driving licence is desirable, but not essential. Competitive Salary : 40,185 per annum, based on working 40 hours per week. Shift Hours: Hours: 06:00hrs - 15:00hrs, Monday - Friday. Overtime : Overtime paid at hourly rate x 1.5 = 28.98 per hour. You will receive 10.00 per shift, when on standby rota basis. Training: Ongoing professional development through manufacturer training (Volvo, Scania, MAN, BPW, WABCO).
