Randstad CP is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager for a leading Facilities Management company on-site in Irvine.
This pivotal role reports to the Contract Manager and requires maintaining up-to-date professional and technical competence to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the site team in accordance with company procedures and policies.
2. Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the site's M&E Plant and Equipment, Building Fabric, Site Infrastructure, External Works, Grounds, Transport, and Waste Services.
3. Plan and control changes, research new technologies, and explore alternative methods for efficiency.
4. Support a robust out-of-hours call-out system for all contract service lines.
5. Implement controls to ensure reactive repairs to M&E systems (e.g., BMS, Fire, Air Conditioning, Generators, Compressors, LV Electrical Distribution and Switch Gear), fabric, and site infrastructure are completed correctly and in line with contract requirements.
6. Provide technical support to team supervisors for prioritizing and delegating reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
7. Ensure PPM is carried out according to schedules and industry best practices.
8. Advise the Account Manager on staffing levels and coverage for holidays and absences.
9. Procure and appoint sub-contractors, manage specialist service contractors, and oversee minor works.
10. Monitor staff performance to meet and exceed client expectations.
11. Manage budgets, costs, and invoicing processes.
12. Assist in producing Contract Review Packs as per business schedules.
13. Regularly audit quality documentation for compliance with company standards.
14. Ensure adherence to HR policies, including managing grievances and disciplinary processes.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Must hold a current valid driver's license.
* Minimum of two years at a similar level or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of current technical standards and business-critical services.
* Experience working in a Blue-Chip environment.
* Ability to formulate, assess, and validate risk assessments and method statements.
