Director of Organisation Design and Effectiveness
Role: Director of Organisation Design and Effectiveness. This Permanent, full time role is hybrid and flexible working available. Our client is recruiting a Director of Organisation Design and Effectiveness to enhance organisational performance, support cultural transformation, and shape the people agenda in line with institutional strategic goals. Reporting to the Chief People Officer and working closely with senior leadership, this newly created role will design and implement strategies that optimise organisational structures, clarify role definition, and improve workforce effectiveness across a large, complex environment.

Purpose: Role Purpose
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of an organisational design and effectiveness strategy aligned to institutional priorities.
* Diagnose current structures and operating models; recommend and implement improvements to roles, spans/layers, governance, and ways of working.
* Define workforce planning approaches to meet short-, medium- and long-term needs.
* Partner with senior leaders to scope, sequence and deliver culture and change initiatives that embed desired behaviours and performance outcomes.
* Establish measures and insight (qualitative and quantitative) to assess organisational health and effectiveness; report progress and impact.
* Build capability in leaders and HR colleagues on OD, change, culture and workforce planning methodologies.
* Ensure effective change management, communications and stakeholder engagement across all initiatives.
* Provide expert advice on policy, process and risk across OD and change activity; ensure compliance with safeguarding and safer recruitment expectations where relevant.
Candidate Profile
* Significant experience in a senior organisational effectiveness, HR, OD or change leadership role within a large, complex organisation.
* Proven track record designing effective organisation structures and operating models, and delivering workforce planning at scale.
* Demonstrable experience leading cultural change and influencing at executive and senior levels.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insight into practical, sustainable solutions.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
* Comfortable operating in a matrix environment and collaborating across diverse professional communities.
