CNC Turning Machinist – Aerospace Manufacturing
Join a leading aerospace manufacturer at the forefront of precision engineering. Wild Recruitment is seeking experienced CNC Turning Machinists to support high-spec component production for global aerospace clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc control systems
* Read and interpret complex aerospace engineering drawings and process specifications
* Machine components to tight tolerances and specified surface finishes
* Conduct in-process inspections using micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, and other precision tools
* Perform routine machine maintenance and tool cleaning
* Accurately complete production and quality documentation
* Follow all health & safety and quality assurance procedures (AS9100 standards)
* Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure parts meet design intent and customer requirements
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience operating CNC lathes in aerospace or precision engineering environments
* Ability to program and edit directly at the machine
* Strong proficiency in engineering drawing interpretation
* Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards (preferred)
* Skilled in using precision measuring equipment
* Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset
* Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team
* Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred)
