Overview
Teacher to Lead Performing Arts across the School (0.6fte). We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic part time Subject Leader for Performing Arts (including Music) from January 2026. The successful candidate will lead and develop the Performing Arts curriculum at Fairview and have the ability to inspire our pupils to excel. The successful candidate will have a passion for and experience in performing arts.
This is an opportunity for a performing arts teacher or music specialist to be a part of our PPA specialist team of teachers. At Fairview, we aim to give our children the best possible experiences in sport, performing arts and forest school, and include a wide range of extracurricular activities. With this holistic approach to education in mind, our pupils make excellent academic progress and we strive to develop each child’s talent, skills and creativity.
We are looking for someone to teach Performing Arts across the school on Wednesday to Friday as well as be able to plan and inspire our pupils in after school musical activities and at special musical events and celebrations.

* an outstanding practitioner, who has expertise in delivering high quality performing arts teaching;
* able to motivate and inspire children of all abilities;
* well organised, efficient and who has excellent inter-personal skills;
* caring with a good sense of humour;
* able to work collaboratively;
* willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities and take an active part in the wider life of the school; and
* committed to safeguarding all children.
