Pooh Corner Day Nursery and Pre-school is looking for an Early Years Professional .

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Early Years Educator to work as a integrative 1:1 for a SEN child. More information on the child's needs can be shared with prospective candidates on a confidential basis.

The right candidate will work 37 hours per week across 4 days.

However the role is for a 1:1 the job has an integrative nature to support the child to approach their peers and to practicing communicating wants and needs.

Preferably the right candidate will hold an Early Years qualification or having the right personality and charisma to be trained (working based apprenticeship scheme) and have at least some experience in the field.

Salary: £ 24.500 - £ 31.000, depending on the path (apprenticeship or qualified) and qualification and experience.

Pooh Corner Day Nursery and Preschool is an independent care and educational setting. It was founded in 1990 and it is situated in a spacious Victorian house. Our outdoor facilities within our setting and the adjacent green areas invite children to explore their physical potential and integrate all areas of learning offered indoors. Pooh Corner provides a child centred approach where sense of belonging and respect nurtures a dynamic learning environment. Our professionals work in line with current national and local statutory and non-statutory frameworks and our policies and procedures. We care and contribute to the development and education of children from nine months to five years of age in three distinctive provisions. In all provisions, children access free flow play and adult planned activities based on children’s interests.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will:

•Contribute to and support the development, learning and personal care of their 1:1 child. it will involve supporting eating and using specific equipment to feed the child. The child is fully mobile and developing language and is highly interested on playing with their peers.

•You will contribute to the smooth running of the Provision and the maintenance of a safe and stimulating learning environment where our Ethos is the core of all professional practice. You will be a Key person for a group of children and will use our software to entry your observations regarding their development, activities and plan that supports children’s interests.

•You will join a team of other professionals who already work with our pre school provision.

•You are expected to be proficient in using professional interaction techniques such as open-ended questions, Sustained Shared Thinking, High Scope Conflict Resolution or highly willing to learn through our internal training offered during a thorough Induction process.

•Your induction period will be a comprehensive and a thorough process where you will access all our training materials which underpin our child centred professional practice.

Start Date: Mid August in the position or as soon as possible (working where necessary within our provisions) until mid August when overlaping the current 1:1 professional. Then from September in preschool as a 1:1 for this child.
