CT Clinical Imaging Support Worker – CDC Mobile CT Service
Location: Humber and North Yorkshire Healthcare Partnership – Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham, HU16 5JQ
Salary £24,937 - £26,598 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Part‑time (3 long days on a rotating basis)
Travel: Multiple sites across the region (East Riding Community Hospital, Hull CDC Hub, Askham Bar York, Selby Hospital, etc.). Travel expenses and accommodation provided.
Job Summary: The Clinical Imaging Support Worker (CISW) will support the delivery of a mobile CT scanning service across community diagnostic centres. The role involves patient preparation, cannulation, assisting radiographers with scanning and administrative duties, and ensuring high‑quality patient care while travelling between sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare patients for CT scans, including cannulation and safety checks.
* Assist radiographers during scanning procedures.
* Handle administrative tasks such as patient records and equipment checks.
* Travel to assigned sites on a rotating schedule.
* Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold NHS standards.
* Support the implementation of new processes and solutions in a fast‑moving environment.
Essential Qualifications
* English GCSE Grade A‑C.
* Willingness to work towards NVQ III.
* Experience dealing with the general public.
* Good organisational, computer and communication skills.
* Willingness to undertake IV cannulation.
* Good time‑keeping and ability to work independently.
Desirable Qualifications
* NVQ II/III in care or NHS Care Certificate.
* Previous work in a similar environment or NHS/patient care capacity.
* Background in mobile or community diagnostic services.

* Motivated to develop new skills and deliver high‑quality care.
* Strong interpersonal, empathy and diplomacy.
* Flexible with working outside normal hours, weekends and bank holidays.
* Willingness to travel and work across multiple sites.
* Ability to prioritise patient care in changing environments.
