Wood is recruiting for a Piping / Mechanical Student placement. Our 8-week Summer Internship will place you in one of our ongoing projects delivering Piping and Mechanical Engineering scopes.
Qualifications
1. Currently a penultimate-year MEng student or a final-year BEng student planning to complete a MEng or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related discipline
2. Expected to achieve a 1st or 2:1 degree in a relevant engineering discipline
3. Available full-time for the 8-week placement
4. Intending to pursue a graduate career in engineering
Knowledge of
5. Awareness of the Energy sector (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical,
6. Basic understanding of mechanical and piping design principles
Experience of
7. Academic or practical project work
8. Operations or hands-on engineering experience (desirable)
9. Continuous learning and development
Ability to
10. Apply a structured and systematic approach to problem solving
11. Work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently
12. Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook effectively
13. Interpret basic piping and mechanical drawings and documentation
